A small sampling of the print and web design work I’ve done.

Business Teachers Association of NYS

Another successful collaboration between Jason and myself to refresh the Business Teachers Association of New York State’s website. Powered by Expression Engine we simplified the navigation, cleaned up the overall presentation of the site, integrated forums and member pages, and added additional functionality for users of the website. The website’s modern look & feel along with standards compliant HTML/CSS coding was handled by myself while Jason took care of all the backend wizardry. Los Crudos Logo and CD Packaging

Los Crudos CD Packaging Main

Completed this student project my sophomore year at RIT. There were two parts to this project. First, choose a musician or group and design a logo that captures they’re style of music. Then design CD packaging for one of their albums and incorporate the logo into the final layout.

I chose the hardcore punk band Los Crudos to design a mark around. There music was fast, abrasive, politically charged punk rock sung in Spanish. The packaging is printed on newsprint with lyrics in both Spanish and English. Keeping with DIY aesthetics I kept most of the CD insert’s construction handmade with the exception of the logo. Tranquility—Hiroshima Revisted Layout

Tranquility Layout Main

Completed this in 2001 during my senior year at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Editorial design project where I was teamed up with a photography student and had to design two 2-page spreads, table of contents page and cover for an article titled, Tranquility—Hiroshima Revisited. We shot underwater to help convey a sense of peace and stillness to coincide with the article’s themes. Mozart Type and Design Exercise

Mozart Poster Main

After listening to a piece of Mozart’s music I developed a grid that reflected it’s structure and form. Using this grid I then designed a purely typographic solution by using only a letter form repeated over and over again. The other poster is a companion piece to the first; using sheet music imagery and a biography of Mozart repeated throughout I mimicked a similar structure.
